Click on the Activities section located at the top left side of the RELAY® screen to find an organized, time-saving way of assigning and tracking transaction Activities.
In the days of the bulky paper-filled folder, what have agents relied on? A checklist of activities printed right on the transaction folder, and daily notes written in a calendar. RELAY® offers the same concept, but better, with Activity Checklist Templates.
Create your Checklist Templates for the buyer side or seller side, and apply the Checklist to new transactions in seconds. The list of Activities is populated with due dates based on the contract dates. Now, you can be notified daily of items coming due, and worry less about skipping a step.

Apply a checklist, and activities appear instantly in the transaction checklist and in your Activities section, where you can review all Activities across all of your transactions. Sort by due date, status, or responsible party.
Activities are automatically color coded to alert you to items that are due.
Organization just got easier.

Copy a Sample Checklist - For Site Administrators, RELAY® even offers sample Checklist Templates of standard required steps in the buyer or seller transaction.
Take a shortcut. Click on the “Checklists” button under the Activities section, and copy a sample Checklist template by clicking the “Copy Checklist” button – see how simple?
Edit the Checklist as needed for your best business practices, rename and save the new Checklist. The steps are very easy to follow. And then, you have the timesaver tool to use all the time in all transactions.

When adding a new Activity, you can select whether you want to be notified. The automated notifications let you know when transactions and activities are coming due. Color coding helps your really keep an eye on upcoming and past due items.
Once you mark activities as “Completed,” then no further notifications will appear.
TIP: Too many notifications not your style? Edit your user profile and determine when and how you receive notifications. RELAY® accommodates your business style.

Click on an Activity to open the Activity detail screen. Then just click on the “Export to Calendar” link in the top, left corner. When you are prompted, click open so that you can edit your activity and save it directly to your calendar.
That’s all it takes to move an activity due date to a calendar system, such as Outlook. Then you can receive an Outlook reminder about this appointment or deadline. RELAY® works with the everyday tools you already use.

Just leave it to a sharp transaction coordinator to invent a new RELAY® solution – this tip came from a small office where the Broker wants to not only monitor all the agents’ transactions but also access them and make changes.
The Broker user role allows read-only access to all of the transactions on the site. However, what if the broker also wants to work in transactions directly?
Here is how you can do it:
Brokers can create an Agent user role for themselves. That Agent user can be added to each and every transaction as a delegate. That way, when the broker logs in as the Agent user, all of the transactions will be available to review (just as they would with the Broker role) AND the broker will be able to participate as a delegate.
We liked this feedback so much that in a future RELAY® release, a mechanism to add a selected delegate automatically to every transaction will be implemented.

Watch and learn – quick view demos mean less to read. Just click the Help icons on any RELAY page and in addition to convenient instructions, you’ll also be able to open Quick View demos for all the basic RELAY® functions. Read the “how-to,” or view the “how-to.” Because, who has time to read, read, read?

Two local Associations of REALTORS® in California have announced they will offer RELAY® transaction management as part of their member benefits beginning in March 2006.
The Merced County Association and the Victor Valley Association have both contracted with Real Estate Business Technologies, Inc., to make RELAY available to their members.
“With RELAY®, REALTORS® can improve efficiency, mitigate risk of errors and omissions, and increase overall customer satisfaction,” said Merced County AOR President Raymond P. Rodriguez. “We’re pleased to offer the industry’s premier transaction management system as a benefit of membership in our Association.”
RELAY® is a strong enhancement of the WINForms® member benefit offered statewide in California. We look forward to more local Associations adopting RELAY® as they begin evaluating the member benefit option.
Members of the Merced County Association or the Victor Valley Association will receive new subscriber instructions and training opportunities in March and April.
