Working with an agent from another company who uses RELAY®? Not a problem! Use a cross-brokerage transaction to streamline communications. With shared updates, you can collaborate instantly.

How to invite another agent to your transaction:
  1. In your Contacts page, click “Add Agent
  2. Search for the invited agent by name
(Note: their Agent Search Options must be set to Visible to Other Sites - see below)
  3. Click on the agent’s name to invite him or her to the transaction. When he or she accepts the invitation, you can work together on a seamless online transaction.
  4. To withdraw a pending invitation, clicking on the trash can icon next to the agent’s name in your contacts page.

TIP: Edit your profile to make sure your name is listed in the RELAY® Agent directory.
  1. Click “Profile” in the upper right corner of your RELAY® site
  2. Click “Preferences” to edit your “Agent Search Options
  3. Select “Yes” for “Visible to other sites
  4. Save and confirm your changes
Now other RELAY® agents can search for your profile and invite you to join a cross-brokerage transaction.

Once invited, you will receive an email invitation and see the invitation notice when you log in to RELAY®. As soon as you accept an invitation, you and the other agent can work seamlessly on the cross-brokerage file.

Buyers and sellers will see only their own agent’s picture, contact information, and branding, while you and the other RELAY® agent can work simultaneously on the same documents, notes, and history. No duplications in workflow.

Networking just got easier.

The Guest Agent can log in to your RELAY® Transaction, even if they are not a RELAY® subscriber. As the online transaction owner, you will control everything the guest agent can see. Also control whether or not the guest may add documents or notes to the transaction, just as you can with your client contacts.

A guest agent will not be allowed to complete functions that require a RELAY® subscription, such as updating documents or activities. Yet, the shared access streamlines communications for both sides.

Guest agents can upgrade to a full RELAY® account at any time and then be able to add their own client, see the history, control visibility, and more.

TIP: The transaction must be in Pending, or post-contract status, to invite guest agent participation.

At least 70% of consumers now use the Internet for real estate needs, according to C.A.R.’s 2006 Internet Versus Traditional Buyer Survey. It’s also been reported that online real estate advertising volume is anticipated to eclipse newspaper real estate ads in the next five years, according to Borrell Associates, June 2006. It’s time to make your online listings stand out.

Create a public document page for any transaction. You can post any type of document file that you have uploaded into RELAY® to a public page that tracks who logs in and views documents, bringing you more qualified leads, and impressing buyers with the amount of information available to them.

How to Create a public page:

1. Click the Documents tab
2. Click Public Documents
3. Click Make Public

TIP: Include a welcome greeting for visitors

  1. Type a message in the Public Message box
  2. You can control the appearance of your message with basic HTML
For instance, use the HTML code for a line break, <br>, to start a new line of text.
  3. Click Update

First, add listing documents to your RELAY® site (any file formats including video or photos)

  1. Click the red X to change a document visibility icon into to a clear eye. This allows the most recent version of a document to show up on your public webpage.
  2. Click document detail to select a different version of a document.
  3. To remove a document, click on the clear eye, and it will become a red X.

Link the public documents to a public page

  1. Click Add to My Web Site
  2. Copy the HTML link
  3. Paste the HTML link where you want it in the HTML code:
on your website, in an MLS listing, in an electronic newsletter – anywhere an interested buyer can click on it to visit your public documents page.
