REBT JOINS LIST OF REALTOR SECURE ORGANIZATIONS

WASHINGTON (January 6, 2006) –The National Association of Realtors has announced that Real Estate Business Technologies Inc., a transaction management system company based in Los Angeles, has achieved REALTOR Secure certification, which recognizes organizations using the best online security practices in the industry.

REBT is the developer of Relay, an advanced transaction management system that streamlines the work flow and collaboration between consumers, professionals and clients in the real estate transaction. REBT successfully demonstrated that it met REALTOR Secure program requirements and has the best practices in place to protect real estate, employee, and customer information from internal and external threats and to prevent business interruptions.

“We see TMS continuing to have a larger role in the real estate transaction. Realtors’ use of TMS technology, like REBT’s Relay, makes the real estate transaction more efficient and secure for both Realtors and consumers. Information security within a real estate transaction is vitally important and makes the customer more comfortable throughout a process that is already an important emotional transition,” said Mark Lesswing, NAR vice president and director of the Center for REALTOR Technology. “We are pleased that vendors like REBT demonstrate their commitment to security and protecting confidential information.”

The REALTOR Secure program, developed by CRT, is based on security standards from the International Standards Organization and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The certification demonstrates that an organization meets best practices to address the confidentiality, integrity and availability of real estate and consumer information.

“REALTOR Secure has provided a process we could use to demonstrate our dedication to the Realtor community. We believe so strongly in information security that we additionally had the Relay TMS application reviewed coincidentally with the REALTOR Secure process and were very pleased with the results,” said Josh Sharfman, chief executive of REBT. “It further confirms our development approach and signifies the importance we place on protecting individuals throughout the real estate transaction cycle.”

REBT, based in Los Angeles, is a leading provider of real estate TMS software. Transaction management systems are used to automate the flow of information involved in the real estate process, including contact, task and work flow information, document storage and retrieval, and information security.
